It’s time for you to get that 2022 fishing license. Last year’s expired on 3-31-22! Why is it important you may ask? Not just because the “Fish Police” will get you and write you tickets that may cost hundreds of dollars but also because of how good it will make you feel knowing your license and sporting goods purchases help to fund so many things in our great state. Your license dollars help to fund conservation projects, improve fishing and hunting habitats, provide habitat and nature education to our youth, and also supply the funds that keep our fish hatchery and stocking programs running. Michigan’s phenomenal fishing, hunting, and natural resource conservation efforts depend on license dollars and sportsmen and sportswomen like us. Get out there OCSC and do your part…buy your license and offer to buy one for a friend who hasn’t fished in years…get them back to our lakes, rivers and streams.
The docks are in at the club and the Fishing club will be having a fishing event on Townsend Lake on June 11th. This will be a great opportunity to get a friend who hasn’t fished in a while back on the water. It is the Free fishing weekend in Michigan so bring an out of state friend, son, daughter, or grandchildren and show them what Michigan waters have to offer. Stay tuned for more information.
