The OCSC. Women’s Auxiliary was founded in 1969 under the sponsorship of the Oakland County Sportsmen’s Club. The purpose of the auxiliary is to support the main club and its sub clubs while carrying out their objectives by promoting social activities within the club, and promoting OCSC involvement in the community.
When the auxiliary first began, membership was limited to wives and daughters of the OCSC members. Auxiliary membership is now open to anyone who supports our objectives within the club. The auxiliary meets in the main hall of the clubhouse on the third Thursday of every month with the exception of December. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. with business and followed by programs and refreshments. Prospective members and guest are always welcome at these meetings. Dues are currently $4.00 per year accompanied by a onetime initiation fee of $5.00. We publish a monthly newsletter to keep our members informed of our many activities.
Auxiliary activities include but are not limited to, landscaping projects on the club grounds, hosting kids Easter and Christmas parties, various fundraisers throughout the year, and assisting with Hunter Safety classes. During the winter months, we provide dinners on membership meeting night.
For information on the auxiliary membership either call the OCSC office or Ann Mobley @ 248-505-5590
