Happy New Year to one and all! I hope everything is going well. As of February 1, cars on track is less than 3 months away. It seems like a long time, but of course it is right around the corner. If you can’t wait, either hitch up your trailer and go to FL and TX or stay here and try to get the perfect line through roundabouts until you can do it without lifting.
Every one of us should make a point of attending the membership meetings throughout the year, but now it’s mandatory! It’s time to get a physical if you need one, bring the form with you and pay your OCSC dues, your
WHRRI membership and license fee and request your paddock spot and your car number. Don’t wait until the last minute. It is way better than sitting home watching TV.
I am copying this paragraph from last month because it still applies: Meetings are the perfect time to patronize the OCSC bar and kitchen. Gary Mobley has worked hard to staff the kitchen. The food I’ve had has been excellent and the beer is cold and cheap! WHRRI is our club. But so is OCSC! The main club meeting is on the last Wednesday of each month. Make a plan to come and see how we fit into the bigger picture.
Autorama is at the end of the month down at Cobo. We have 6 cars to show off, so we need volunteers to staff the booth. We will pay your admission fee. It’s fun to tell all the people about our club, plus there are amazing cars to take a look at. The sign up sheet is on the Forum.
