Shotgun News – December 2022

Well, it’s been a great run, but I do believe it is time for me to step down. Perhaps I’ll be replaced by someone younger, with some fresh ideas to move our Shotgun Club forward.

I’m very proud of what my entire staff has been able to accomplish over the past 10 years (I couldn’t have done half of it without the help of everyone involved). There are just way too many individuals to thank, some passed and many still with us. I pray that those still with us will continue to support our new board the way they did for me. That’s what we need to keep our club strong.

I still plan to stay somewhat involved in special events such as the Steak & Shoots, Junior Adventure Day, Ladies Adventure Day, Hunters Safety Field Day, and few other events. I’ll still be around some.

With that being said, I encourage everyone to come out to shoot whether it be in one of our leagues or just for fun. We are always open to new shooters and try to help out in any way we can. Out of the eight different disciplines we have to shoot at OCSC Shotgun Club, there is sure to be something here for everyone at every level. So please come join us and keep Shotgun Club a strong and fun club to participate in.
