RED ROTATING LIGHT
NO SHOOTING OR TOUCHING FIREARMS WHILE THE RED ROTATING LIGHT IS ON.
WHEN THE RED LIGHT IS ON, IT MEANS THAT PEOPLE ARE DOWN RANGE AND IT IS NOT SAFE TO SHOOT.
IT IS ONLY SAFE TO SHOOT WHEN THE RED LIGHT IS OFF AND YOU HAVE CHECKED TO BE SURE THAT NO ONE IS DOWN RANGE.
BE SURE TO TURN THE RED LIGHT OFF WHEN LEAVING THE RANGE, AND NO ONE IS LEFT ON THE RANGE.
This is a copy, word for word of the signs that are posted on the Outdoor 25-50-100yd ranges. This applies to all rang-es at one time. If someone is shooting on the 100yd and you are on the 25yd, you cannot go down range until the whole range is called safe and the LIGHT IS ON. You must stand away for the bench and no firearms may be touched unless it is bagged or in a closed case. There are no exceptions. You must have the light on and everyone on the range notified that the range is being called safe before going down range.
I know this sounds pretty redundant, but this rule is being broken every day. Why would you ever think it is safe to handle a gun, while someone is down range? Why would you ever go down range while someone is still shooting or has a firearm in their hands?
Take a moment to reread all range rules. You may get a current copy from the main office.
Please be mindful of your muzzle and keep your finger on the slide and off the trigger until you are on target.
Please keep our ranges safe.
