Thank you to everyone who has bought a piece of pie or a slice of cake during an OCSC monthly meeting. Thanks to your generosity, the OCSC Auxiliary was able to contribute $1,000 to the Archery Club for their new multi-stage hunting platform.
During the Jr. Rifle Sportsmen’s Swap Meet on Sept. 17th, we manned the kitchen to provide lunch for members, vendors and customers who attended the sale. We are glad to be able to support the sub-clubs!
A current project is weeding and planting native pollinator friendly plants in the two flower beds on either side of the front porch. We are a conservation-based club and this is a demonstration of how ornamental plants can be blended with the natives. I also want to thank Cheryl Francis for the gift of five mums she donated for the gardens.
To raise funds for future projects, our Auxiliary is raffling off a Cash and Gift Card Tree worth $220. Tickets will only be sold to OCSC members during monthly meetings. They are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. The drawing for the winner will be on December 3rd at the annual Sportsmen’s Club Christmas Party. Thank you again for your support.
Hunting season is here. We hope you’ve already been out in the woods, maybe up in a tree blind or ground blind waiting for that special buck! The Women’s Auxiliary would like to wish you all luck and enjoy the fall colors that should be already peaking out in the Upper Peninsula!
