Hunter’s Banquet Ticket Update
December 1, 2022Archery Club News
December 1, 2022Closed doesn’t mean closed! The unexpected warm weather has made it easier for Jerry Pintar, Ron Krantz, and crew to finish a big project. The turn 6 runoff area has been leveled and re-contoured. More than 80 yards of gravel was added to the enlarged trap. Hopefully, this means that entering turn 6 too hot will no longer be as spectacular as it has been.
The Worker Appreciation Banquet at the clubhouse was a big success. I heard nothing but good things about the food coming out of the kitchen. Thanks to the OCSC staff! By the time you read this, the awards banquet will be done, stay tuned for a report next month.
We have new Board members. Welcome to Anthony Biondo, David Moreno and John Whapham. You guys are in for a treat! Welcome back to Alex Della Torre, Franz Lieder and Geoff Hegel. A fond, and I hope, temporary farewell to Chip and Suzie.
I hope everyone has gotten started on the planned improvements that will make their cars blindingly faster. May will be here before you know it.
With the “retirement” of Chip and Suzie, we need of a Chief of Flagging and Communication and a Director of Racing. Neither are easy, but if you think you can do it and can commit the time, I promise the rewards will outweigh the hassles.
I hope to report next month that we have 6 cars entered for Autorama. We are close now.
Plan on dining at the Club. The food has been excellent, the camaraderie is always good, and the beer is cheap! We are OCSC members. Support OUR club.
We will not have a General Membership meeting in December, but we will see everyone’s smiling faces on January 4th. Until then, I wish everyone the happiest of holidays!
See you next year,
Brian Murphy
