We just finished a busy weekend here at the club (July 7-9) with a lot of activity at most sub clubs and the main building. Most importantly we had a gathering for a memorial luncheon for Charlie Ostrom on Sunday with a large turnout of over 200 family and friends attending. I was impressed with how many willing volunteers showed up to help with this event. I commend all of them for the great job they did from the beginning to the end of the day clean up.
We also had a Steel Challenge shooting event, WHRRI racing and Quarter Midget racing.
There are lots of things and events to do at the club and if you want to help out with some of these, contact the office and get on a workers list. Please consider helping with some volunteer hours, it is rewarding work and a good way to meet other club members. If you have some special skills such as carpentry, general repair skills, weed whacking, grass cutting, general clean up or repair and want to help, please contact me. It takes a lot of people to keep this club looking great.
See you around the club!
