The early Goose season is ongoing, and recently the youth deer hunt took place. The political rhetoric is heating up, and the fishing is pretty good.
Lake Michigan’s Salmon fishing has truly come back and lots of big healthy fish have been harvested this summer. Thanks and applause to the DNR Fisheries Division for revitalizing this sport.

The other fishing reports are also improving. However, cooler water temperatures are moving the fish shallower, which makes them more accessible and easier to find.
By the time you read this, the September fishing club event on Saginaw Bay will have happened.
