Sticky Tires News Letter – October 2022
October 1, 2022Conservation Corner / MUCC News – October 2022
October 1, 2022The floating sections of the Townsend Lake Dock will be pulled soon. We don’t want it to get crushed by the ice that is certain to appear soon. You can still launch your boat and spend a cool crisp day out on the water.
We appreciate those of you who have helped to keep your trash collected and in the can. The FISHING LINE RECYCLING STATIONS at both docks have been used quite a bit. Thank you all for helping to protect our natural resources!
Our Dock committee has purchased some dock material is looking for ideas on what to do with it and also volunteers to help with the install this spring. Please come to a fishing club meeting if you are interested in the project, earning some volunteer hours and improving our club’s fishing.
As always, we love to get pictures of your catch. Tex sent in the pictures below of a successful walleye trip somewhere on the east coast and also a nice bass from a local lake somewhere near us. Please send them to us for posting on the club website.
We’d also love to hear what you think! Come to a fishing club meeting (the third Wednesday of the month at 7PM) or email us at OaklandCountySportFishingClub@gmail.com
