The Townsend Lake docks are in! The boat Launch is open for the summer. Mucho Gracious to the crew who spent their Saturday repairing, installing and cleaning up the dock and launch area.
Bring your family, boat, kayak, float tube or whatever and enjoy the lake. As always, please be good neighbors and stewards. Clean up after yourselves so you don’t leave a mess for someone else.
We’re looking forward to taking a bunch of kids fishing on May 4th. If you’d like to help out our boat Captains can always use a hand. It’s a lot of fun helping kids catch fish! Call or email Pat Larsen to join in. A huge thanks goes out to The Bait Shop on Airport Rd. They are donating the worms and crawlers for the event.
The summer fishing season is upon us. Lower Peninsula Trout, Walleye and Pike seasons are opening soon. The Detroit River Walleye harvest is in full swing. Get out and get ya some.
We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7 PM in the main clubhouse. It’s a fun group with a great bunch of people who know a lot about different styles of fishing. If you’re interested or think you know somebody who may be, please come out to an Oakland County Sport Fishing Club meeting, the 3rd Wednesday of the month @ 7PM.
