It has been a busy spring for your fishing club!!
In May, we participated in the Junior Sportsmen’s Adventure day helping over 70 youngsters learn about fishing, safe boating and how to have a good time out in nature. We had our Coast Guard Boat Inspections and Swap meet on May 17th. May was also the start of our Thursday night “Fishing League”….it has been growing each week.
In June, we helped with the Women’s Adventure Day. A lot of the participants had never been out on a lake or fished before…..all had a great time!
We also had our 2nd Annual “FREE FISHING WEEKEND” event at Townsend Lake on June 10th. It was a great day on the lake with six boats, a kayak, and one canoe! All were catching fish on a picture-perfect day. After fishing, we had an amazing shore lunch… A special thanks to Rich Dziurda and his crew for putting it all together!! We are looking forward to the next “Free Fishing Event” in February 2024……Hopefully, we will have ICE this year…
Our weekly fishing league is Thursday afternoons at 5PM and is running through July. We will be picking a different Oakland County lake each week. We always meet at the dock with your boat/kayak/canoe, or, you are always welcome to join one of the other captains on their boat.
