Archery Club News – October 2022

It’s always surprising how quickly the fall sneaks up on you! Summer has just flown by and we are now into some beautiful Michigan fall days. The Broadhead leagues for the year are a thing of the past! We had great attendance this year. It seems as though we are finally back to normal! With the end of Broadhead leagues that means one thing to many Archers, bow hunting season has begun! Good luck this fall to everyone that participates.

The Bow Hunter Jamboree has also taken place at this point, and I will have a wrap up in the next magazine article. We had new chair people this year with many new ideas. They put in an amazing effort to continue to make the
Jamboree our marque event of the year.

With the start of the Fall Indoor Leagues you will notice a major upgrade in the range. All of the lighting has been upgraded to LED. This upgrade is especially noticeable on the target wall. Along with improved lighting we will also benefit from lower maintenance and energy cost savings. We had a great group of guys working on this project over several nights. It always amazes me what talented and hard working folks we have in this club. Thanks to everyone who helped with this project!

The Indoor Fall Leagues start the last week in September. The Flint League starts on Tuesday September 27th at 7:00pm. This is a really fun, fast moving target league that you shoot from various distances ranging from 7 to 30 yards. The Women’s League starts Thursday September 29th at 6:30pm. This is an NFAA ‘FUN’ target league. Both of these leagues run for 10 weeks.

Come join us at the monthly Archery Club Meeting. The meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month in the Archery Club Building. We welcome your input!

As always there is a lot going on at the Archery Club!
