April 28, 2023As we move into May and the start of nice summer weather our leagues have moved to our outdoor courses. Summer leagues start the first week in May as follows:
May 2nd (Tuesday) 3D Leagues start at 9:00am and 4:00pm for 12 weeks.
May 2nd is also the start of the Youth 3D Instructional League at 5:00pm..
May 3rd (Wednesday) FITA League starts at 6:00pm for 12 weeks.
May 4th (Thursday) Field & Hunter Leagues start at 9:00m and 4:00pm for 12 weeks.
I want to thank everyone for making the Winter Leagues Banquet a success again this year. I will announce the Archer of the Year in next month’s article.
I also want to thank everyone that bought a reverse raffle ticket, with proceeds going toward the construction of the Signature Shooting Stand. The tickets sold out! I will announce the grand prize winner in next month’s article.
As previously mentioned we have a very busy summer season ahead of us. The following lists some of the major events coming up so you can get them on your calendar.
– April 29th is the Flashlight Shoot at dusk.
– June 3rd and 4th is the State MAA 420 on the racetrack infield starting at 8:30am both days .
– June 9th – 10th is the Traditional Shoot weekend.
– June 17th and 18th is the NFAA Great Lakes Outdoor Sectional starting at 9:00am both days.
– July 1st is the Midwest Safari Triple Crown with a shotgun start at 9:00am.
– August 5th and 6th is the State MAA Championship on the racetrack infield starting at 9:00am both days.
– August 18th – 20th is the International Field Archery Association – North American Field Archery Championship starting at 9:00am each day.
– September 9th and 10th is the Bowhunter Jamboree from 9:00am to 2:00pm both days.
As you can see there are a lot of great events coming up!
Watch for notices on evening and weekend workbees along with our regular Wednesday morning workbee. We have a lot to do to get ready for all the events this summer!
Please join us at the monthly Archery Club Meeting. The meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm in the Archery Club Building.
