Summer is here and things are heating up on the lakes and streams. In May we had our annual Coast Guard boat inspection and swap meet. While the “swap meet” could use some more attention …………there were 8 boats inspected and a lot of knowledge shared and it was a fun evening. Inspectors were retired Coast Guard members and former military. They have incredible knowledge and stories to share. I encourage you to plan to come out to next year’s event. Tentative date May 17th 2023.
We recently held our first fishing event on Townsend lake (June 11th ). It was the Free Fishing Weekend in Michigan so anyone could come. A special thank you to Rich Dziurda for organizing all the fun.
We are always looking for new members and fishing ideas to share with the group…..We hope you will consider attending an Oakland County Sport Fishing Club meeting and join the fun!
