Our next packing party is Thursday, July 18, 4 – 6pm
Today another Hero lost his life. Not while serving in Iraq or in Afghanistan, but here at home. He lost the battle fighting the demons in his mind as the result of his service to his country. As civilians, we need to open our eyes and our hearts and listen to these brave men and women. They need our support, understanding and love! PTSD is an ugly thing. Stay informed, do what you can to help these Heroes.

We at the 379th Civil Engineering Squadron’s Material Control Section want to let you know how much we appreciate your care packages and support. It’s a highlight of our times when we receive a package filled to the brim with goodies and other fun surprises. More so than the material things, we appreciate the individuals who write us letters, it’s heartwarming to read from people who support us in these endeavors and we can’t thank you enough for sharing those sentiments with us. From the team here in the Material Control Shop, thank you, sincerely. Your support helps us keep going.

Food Products: Pop tarts, granola bars, pre-sweetened cereal, cereal bars, oatmeal, protein bars, powdered dry milk, and sugar. Peanut butter, jam, protein bars, slim-jims, beef jerky, tuna, canned chicken, fruit cups, pasta, mac ’n’ cheese, chow mien meals, noodles in a cup,
ramen noodles and tortilla shells.
Snacks: Rice Krispy treats, lifesavers, cookies, nuts, raisins, dried fruit, trail mix, Pringles, pretzels, crackers, sun flower seeds, gum, skittles, licorice, tootsie rolls, and hard candy. (Brownies and chocolates only sent during the month of
October thru March)
Beverages: Coffee, tea, sugar packets, creamer, hot chocolate, Gatorade, crystal light, sweetened Kool-Aid, instant coffee, soup and energy drinks
Personal Hygiene: Baby wipes, stick deodorant, Q-tips, chapstick, body wash, bar soap, eye drops, individual Kleenex packs, razors, toothpaste, tooth brushes, manicure sets, Cortaid & Benadryl creams, BioFreeze, foot care products, travel size toiletries, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, tampons, menstrual pads, (NO Aerosol, nail polish nor perfume; check USPC online for restrictions)
Additional Items: Socks, travel size pillows, pillow cases, wash clothes, large bandanas, neck coolers, tshirts, small zip lock bags and hand warmers Recreation: Footballs, soccer balls, hand held games, DVDs, music CDs, crossword puzzles, activity books and playing cards. K9
Items: Only Upon K9 Handler Request: Pet shampoo, salve for paws and noses, eye drops, ear wash, nail clippers, brushes and collapsible dog bowls. (K9s on special diet; NO dog food)
