PPC (Police Pistol Combat)
The 2024 Spring PPC Match is “in the rearview mirror”!
OCSC PPC crew hosted an organized match at the DR Wilson range house on Friday March 1st thru Sunday, March 3rd. Following the close of competition, OCSC PPC crew hosted banquet in the main lodge.
All in all, there were:
164 shooters in total
164 shot the 60 round Combat match
134 shot the 60 round Service match
106 shot the 42 round Service Match
15 pistols were awarded to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners, in 5 classes, in the 60 round Combat match.
Cash prizes were awarded to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners, in 5 classes, in the 60 & 42 round Service matches.
Factoid… there were approximately 22,332 rounds fired! That produced about 445 pounds of lead that can be recycled and sold! More importantly, no one was injured!
OCSC PPC crew thanks everyone who attended, volunteered, donated their time or, in some way, helped to support the effort!
PPC HOURS
The winter league concludes at the end of March (as does PPC until next October!). There will be a PPC banquet for league participants. Details are forthcoming.
PPC shoots each Monday morning from 9 am to 12 noon and each Thursday evening from 6 pm to 9 pm in the DR Wilson range through the end of March (returns in October… looking forward to seeing shooters in the Fall!). Shooting is fun and challenging… shoot 60 rounds in 4 courses of fire for accuracy in a specified amount of time (each COF is timed).
Shoot from kneeling, sitting, prone, strong hand and weak hand positions. Come out and challenge yourself and join in the fun!
