The docks are in and it is time to get fishing!!

Our annual COAST GUARD boat inspection is on for MAY 17th in conjunction with the fishing gear swap meet. It is a great opportunity to make sure your boat is safe and ready for the challenges of being out on our many lakes. I have asked in the past (with no responses) and they are still interested in offering boating safety classes for our community…Please contact me if you are interested!!!

We are starting a weekly fishing league on Thursday afternoons starting May 4th. We will be picking a different Oakland County lake each week. Meet at the dock with your boat/kayak/canoe, or, join one of the other captains on their boat. I am certain it will be a fun and challenging time for all involved. Fishing Licenses expired on March 31st. Licensing fees go to help our hatcheries produce fish for stocking projects, conservation projects and management of the State’s natural resources. Let’s support our local bait shops!!! Buy your license and pick up some new tackle. Get out on the water. Don’t get caught with an expired license!!!

Come out to an Oakland County Sport Fishing Club meeting…the third Wednesday of the month @ 7PM.
