Women’s Auxiliary News – March 2023

Greetings from the OCSC Women’s Auxiliary! We hope you enjoyed the Super Bowl and had a nice Valentine’s Day.

I would like to tell you about some of the things we have planned for the future. On Thursday, March 2nd, the Auxiliary will have a joint meeting with the Waterford Branch of the Woman’s National Farm and Garden Association. It will start at 6:00 pm in the main hall and there will be a guest speaker. The topic will be announced in the near future. We invite all club members, friends and family to join us.

On Saturday, April 1st, at 1:00 pm, we are going to have an Easter Egg Hunt! Children will be divided by age groups – 1 to 3-year-olds, 4 to 6-year-olds, and 7 and 8-year-olds. Each age group will be in a separate location. There will be prizes for the most eggs in each age group, as well as for the child who finds the Golden Egg in each group. Eggs will be hidden outside on the club grounds so please dress children appropriately for the weather. Grown ups will not be allowed to assist children. We’ll have an Easter Bunny available for photos.

Finally, on Sunday, May 21st, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, we are hosting a Trunk Sale. $20 will buy two parking spaces in a marked portion of the Club parking lot. Bring your unloved and unwanted items to sell, trade or whatever. The club will be selling unused furniture and other items, also. More information about this event will also be forthcoming.

All of these things are on top of our regular Bake Sales at the monthly meetings.
