The Bite – April 2023

Your Fishing club is excited to announce we’ll be having a weekly fishing league on Thursday afternoon staring May 4th. We will be picking a different Oakland County lake each week. Meet at the dock with your boat/kayak/canoe, or join one of the other captains on their boat. I am certain it will be a fun and challenging time for all involved. Come to a fishing club meeting, contact a club member, or check out the fishing club page on the OCSC website for more details.

Fishing Licenses expire on March 31st. Licensing fees go to help our hatcheries produce fish for stocking projects, conservation projects, and management of the State’s natural resources. Let’s support our local bait shops!!! Buy your license and pick up some new tackle. Get out on the water, but don’t get caught with an expired license!!!

We are also planning for our annual COAST GUARD boat inspection and fishing gear swap meet May 17th. We are still working on the details, but the guys from our Coast Guard Auxiliary are excited to come back to OCSC and help you to be safe out on the lakes. They have talked about offering boating safety classes for our community……anybody interested? Please contact me!!!

Come out to an Oakland County Sport Fishing Club meeting…the third Wednesday of the month @ 7PM.
