Though winter seems to drag on, our season is fast approaching. Our opening work bee is scheduled for March 30 with a rain/weather date of April 6. There is much to do, but many hands make light and quick work, so plan to attend! There will be donuts from the famous Holly Donut Shop, thanks to Ron Krantz.
The way the calendar falls this year, we have to wait until May 4 and 5 for RW1. In between all those dates is the final coat of paving for the paddock roads. The actual date for that will be determined by the weather.
Autorama Was A Huge Success
We showed 5 cars and got 2 firsts, a second and a third. In my opinion, Geoff’s G.O.A.T GTO should have gotten us a fifth trophy. Thanks loads to the guys who committed to detailing and hauling their cars down, never an easy task. Thanks more loads to the volunteers who came down to man (and woman) our booth. Their spirit of dedication is infectious- we had a lot of people signing up to help out and with a little luck, a future racer or two will start coming to the track.
Here is my monthly plea to be a not just a racer, but a contributing member of WHRRI AND of OCSC. They are both your clubs and need your participation. Come to the meetings and see what is happening- we need your support. Since Kelly Finazzo does such an amazing job of getting this out early, you will see this before the March OCSC meeting (March 27 at 8pm). There are important elections that have a direct bearing on us racers. Please plan to attend and exercise your right and duty to participate!
